Cookie Policy
Short version: this site does not set cookies.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you later. This site has no login, no shopping cart, no advertising and no tracking, so it has no need for cookies and sets none. That is also why there is no cookie banner here: there is nothing to ask your permission for.
Two browser preferences
The home page has a scrolling ticker of the properties I have worked at, and a lot of gentle motion. If you pause the ticker, the site remembers that choice in your browser's local storage so it stays paused next time. That is the only thing stored on your device, and only if you choose it:
- Whether you paused the ticker (one setting named marqueePaused).
These settings contain no personal information, are never sent anywhere, and you can clear them at any time through your browser's site data settings. They are preferences you asked for, so they do not need your consent under cookie rules, but I would rather tell you than not.
Analytics
Visitor counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed to work without cookies: it sets none and stores no identifier on your device. That is why there is still no cookie banner on this site.
The contact forms
The forms send your message to web3forms, which forwards it to me. The form is a plain submission to the service; it does not load the service's scripts, cookies or iframes on this site. Spam is filtered with a hidden field that only bots fill in, not with a CAPTCHA, so there is nothing from a captcha provider either.
Fonts
The typefaces load from Google Fonts. Google serves font files without setting cookies on this site, though it does receive the technical request, including your IP address. The Privacy Policy covers that.
Other sites
Links to LinkedIn or other services take you to sites with their own cookie practices.
